- Approach and face the door, as you would normally
- Position your arm between the top swoop of the device and the door. The PullGuard should rest between your wrist and forearm
- With your arm cradled in the PullGuard, open the door by maintaining your arms position in the device and pulling the door towards you in a sweeping motion

Which PullGuard model is compatible with my door handle?
Currently, we offer a PullGuard for two of the most used door pull styles (i.e. handle styles) in the industry: (1) Flat, Plate Style door pulls and (2) Tubular/Cylindrical Style door pulls. For either the T1 or F1 Model PullGuards™ to install snug on your door, the following criteria must be met:
- Your door is outswing operable (i.e. pull to open)
- Your door handle must meet one of the criteria below:
- Flat/Plate cross-section that ranges from 3/16” to ½” thick.
- Cylindrical/Round cross-section that ranges from ¾” to 1-1/4” diameter.

Can a PullGuard be installed on interior doors?
Yes, it can!
TIP: Before purchasing, make sure that the installation of this device will not interfere with any elements or furnishings when the door is opened fully. To do this, open the door to its outmost position and then check if anything is within 5” (127mm) of the handle.
Do I need to clean the PullGuard? If so, how?
- Non-Alkaline detergent (such as mild soap and warm water)
- Isopropyl Alcohol (alcohol concentration of 70% or below)
- Soft cloth, paper towel, brush, or sponge.
- Strong Acids – Vinegar, Hydrofluoric Acid,
- Alkaline Products – Lysol, Fantastic, Bleach, Borax, tub & tile cleaner
- Abrasive Cleaners/Pads – Steel wool, Scouring pads, Scotch Brite pads
- Fluorine Derivatives
- Washing in direct sunlight
- Sharp tools or Scrapers
Does it come with everything required for installation?
Sure does! All that is required for proper installation is the installation tool which we include in the package.
I have double doors. Can a PullGuard be installed?
Yes, it can!
Due to the COVID pandemic, many establishments have been designating one side as an entrance door and the other side as an exit only door. In this case, you would mount the PullGuard on the exterior handle of the door used for entering the space.*
If both doors are to be used for entering the space, you can mount one (1) PullGuard on each exterior door handles.*
* When mounting on double doors, make sure that the door stile (i.e. frame) is at least 2-9/16” (65mm) wide.
Is there a PullGuard for lever or knob handles styles?
